Jesus Wins

Hello everyone! I hope you are all having a nice day today. I am not going to lie, I have been drawing a blank on things to write about recently and I haven’t had very much inspiration coming to me. But today, I was once again on pinterest and I read this quote that I really thought was beautiful. It says, “If you feel like opposition is coming at you from every side, remember this, Jesus wins.” What a beautiful reminder that nothing defeats our Lord and Savior!

I know I struggle all the time with self worth, fear, stress, being overwhelmed, etc. I very quickly forget that he is still in control. I have to get away from all the crazy, busy lifestyle things that are the source of all my struggles and sit down and remind myself that he is God. Remind myself of these things: My God said “no” to temptation. My God restored sight to the blind. My God healed the woman with the bleeding. My God gave the lame man the ability to walk again. My God died but overcame the grave and defeated death like he was waking up from a nap. My God kicked sin to the curb and said, “no more”. My God saved me with no hesitation and I still forget that he wins every single time. Why is that? Why do I forget that he is the God over everything and never forgets about me? His love for me is so undeserving and yet he never fails to give it to me. He never fails to extend grace to me. WHY DOES HE DO THIS? I will never understand.

It breaks my heart that I depend on him so much, but yet I don’t think I need him. And then when I do literally need him, I cry out to him like he is a million miles away but he is right beside me because he never left my side to begin with. But I constantly forget that. And I know I am not the only one in this boat.

Jesus never ceases to end every single fight we face. We as believers are supposed to look our struggles in the face and tell them that our God is bigger than them. No matter what it is that you are struggling with - fear, doubt, depression, anxiety, loneliness, - whatever you are fighting against, you give it to God. You give it to him and say, “I don’t want this anymore. I can’t do it myself. I give it all to you.” We so easily forget that that was what the cross was for. We were forgiven before we were even born. He loved us that much.

I encourage you to examine your life and ask yourself if you forget about him. And if you do, I challenge you to take a moment to sit down and pray to our Lord and ask for his help. Ask him to help you remember that he is there. You can’t just go through life and forget he exists until you need him because you’re in a really low spot. He deserves more than that.
