Workout what?

Writer: strengthintheunquastrengthintheunqua

Do you work out? Or do you enjoy working out? I worked out last night and my abs and shoulders are VERY sore...but a good kind of sore. I used to refuse to work out. I wanted nothing to do with it. My dad used to ask me all the time, “don’t you want to come to the gym with me?” I would always tell him, “um, no way!” He goes before work, so he gets there at 5:30am. Ummmm, the only time I’m up that early is if I’m sick or leaving for China. So no, I’m not going to the gym at 5:30 in the morning.

I do enjoy working out now, though. It’s not as tourchering as it used to be. But I also have a lot more stress to let out while I’m there. A lot of the people I talk to say they like going in the morning to start their day off. I disagree with that because working out is the last thing I want to do in the morning. I like going at night because it’s a great way to end my day. I have been at work all day, sitting, and staring at a computer. Going to the gym helps me get what little energy I have left in me, out of my system.

I always start with cardio. I will do anywhere between 10 to 30 minutes on the arch trainer. I hate that thing but I know I’m burning more calories on there opposed to the treadmill, (plus I can’t stand to run). Then I will either work my arms, legs, or abs. I prefer abs, then legs, then arms. I’ve been going by myself a lot, but if she can, Emily tries to go with me. It always helps if you have a workout partner/buddy. It helps motivate you, encourage you, and keep you positive.

Even though I used to be the kind of person that would turn down any kind of workout in a heartbeat, that’s typically not the case now. I will go to the gym and workout for as much as I can take for one night, then I will go home. I encourage you to start working out. Not only is it good for you physically, but mentally and emotionally. It always helps clear my mind and sweat out the stress that has built up throughout the day. I go to planet fitness, and it’s only $10 a month. That’s it!

I always feel so much better after I work out. And you don’t have to stay for two hours. Not everyone has time for that. I know I don’t! You can just get you a small workout in. Not a whole lot to it. If you aren’t sure what kind of workouts you need to do, how to them them, and for how long, GO TO PINTEREST! I do that all the time! There are so many great workouts on there. And of course youtube has videos too. And you don’t have to go to the gym and get a membership. That’s not necessary. You can of course do it in your home. I just personally work harder when I’m at the gym.

Love you guys!
