Hey loves! As all of you are aware, Han and I are currently single and that isn’t looking like it is going to change before valentines day, so I wanted to do a Valentine’s Day prep post! So here are some ideas of how to spend the day (or night) alone without being too sad.

1. Watch a movie with your favorite celebrity crush, I mean it isn’t the same as having someone there with you BUT it’s a close second. Eat some chocolate and watch your dream guy rock it on a movie!
2. Find that funny video that makes you laugh or that really funny movie that gets you every time. Laughing has been proven to help you feel better. Being alone isn’t easy especially on national love day.
3. Go to the spa and get a relaxing massage or go get your nails. Go get that haircut or color you have been dying to get but just haven’t had the guts to do. It is okay to love yourself and spend a little extra on yourself just for fun!
4.Don’t look at what you don’t have on Valentine’s Day (aka a man) but look at what you do have. You have a place to stay, you have a family (even sometimes they are messy), you have at least one friend, and you have Jesus. We are given so much yet fall apart over one thing we don’t have.

5.Lastly, you can spend your day loving on others. Whether you pay for someone’s food or you help the older lady the grocery store or you just simply smile at your neighbor, show love. Look for ways to serve and ways to help so that you can feel joy when helping others.
These are just a few fun ideas of different things you can. I personally can’t wait to spend the day single. This will be the first year I’ve ever been okay being single. I can’t wait to spend the day with 35 middle schoolers and go to class and just overall share love with people! We have been given the greatest love of all and I can’t help but share that! God is good all the time, and all the time God is good. He is love and He is a kindness. Think ahead of how you can love others.
